Loket Castle
Loket Castle stands on a circular granite cliff and dominates the region for more than 850 years. Picturesque town lying under the castle and is flowing around by the river Odra. Loket Castle is nine kilometers southwest from the town Karlovy Vary. Castle and town name originated thanks to its position above the bend (elbow) of river Odra. Within a few centuries, you can meet many of its titles - Locket, Ellbogen, Elrnbogen a Latin name Cubutus.
During a castle tour you can learn about its history, town and neighborhood. Inside the castle you can see for example the hall with frescoes from the early 15th century. You look into prison cells or don´t miss a dragon residing in the castle tower. The oldest part of the castle is a Romanesque rotunda. Remains of it were discovered in 1966 on the north side of the castle, in the premises of the old spiral staircase. It dates from the early 12th century. Tour on Loket Castle is not only about historical interiors, but you can also visit prison tower or an exhibition of porcelain. Once you leave the castle premises, you should visit church of St. Wenceslas below the castle. The square is adorned with a sculpture of the Holy Trinity from 1719 and a fountain with a statue of the saint patron of firefighters - St. Florian. In the town you can see a statue of W. Goethe.

Marianske Lazne
The second largest spa in the Czech republic is town Marianske Lazne which belongs to the most beautiful spas in the Europe. Its characteristic features are variety of mineral springs and also beautiful parks. The dominant and iconic structure of the town is the Colonnade of Maxim Gorkij with its lofty cast iron construction and wooden ceiling.
A memorable part of the spa Colonnade is its breathtaking Singing Fountain. On every odd hour the fountain dances to one of many famous compositions played throughout the day. In the evening this already impressive show takes on a new visual dimension as the fountain cascades with even more vibrance from a colorful illumination eminating from lights embedded beneath the water.
Within the town and its surroundings rise around one hundread mineral springs, containing carbon dioxide and mineral salts. They are cold ferrous mineral waters.
